Work Controller (Guernsey)

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Support Asset Operations Lead to develop and deploy effective weekly, monthly, and annual operational work plans to Network and Maintenance Leads to ensure all internal and external customer service levels are met.

  • Ensure operational work plans are visible to all stakeholders and communicated within a timely manner to ensure safe control of operations

  • Assure the safety of all personnel on operational sites through supporting the Asset Operations Lead to assess and improve operating procedures and safe work practices.

  • Support Site-Controller to ensure a robust logistical plan is in place and working effectively to move product into and off site.

  • Ensure effective communication is achieved between operational teams and supporting areas (finance, procurement, stores, administration) with regards to work plans and Purchase Orders.

  • Administrate the training plan and competency matrix for operational teams.

  • Responsible for document control and communication of routine and non-routine operational procedures on LPG sites

  • Support Network and Maintenance Leads and Project Engineer to execute materials/parts/contractor purchase orders required to deliver against Asset Management Plan.

  • Ensure communication and constructive liaison between the Maintenance lead and LPG Site-Controller / LPG Deputy Site-Controller with regards to operational work plans.

  • Collaborate with and support other areas of the business to achieve their objectives.

  • Support the Asset Technical Assistant(s) with the system optimization of CMMS and GIS.

  • Prepare and submit agreed reports on performance to Asset Operations Lead and the Head of Network Operations & Asset Management.

  • Support the continual improvement of operational performance across all operational teams by assessing and analysing operational data

  • Challenge inefficiencies and inaccuracies and provide solutions in line with IEG values and North Stars.


The successful candidate will have the following:


  • A willingness to undertake membership of relevant professional institute (IMechE/IChemE/Energy/IGEM/PRINCE2/APM)

  • Experience of working closely with operational teams

  • Ability to deliver tasks on time and to a quality.

  • Be driven to utilise new technologies and systems to improve workflows

  • Be competent in the use of IT and other relevant software
