The role:
The Senior LPG Operator will safely and efficiently support the daily operation of the LPG business, including filling plant and delivering to customers a safe, quality, and efficient standard of operational service.
The daily duties will include:
Covering 24/7 emergency standby as duty operator
Discharging LPG Tankers into site
Filling LPG vessels
Maintaining LPG supplies to gas production site
Inter site LPG transfers
Loading and unloading LPG Tankers
Filling LPG cylinders
Completion of all associated LPG movement reports
Delivering Bulk LPG to customers in Tankers
Customer deliveries of LPG, CO2, and other package gases
LPG cylinder deliveries to agents and metered customers
Completion of all associated delivery paperwork
Loading and Unloading of CO2 tanker
Filling CO2 cylinders
Carry Out CO2 Food Quality Testing
Safe loading and unloading of cylinder trailers
Purging LPG cylinders into service
Evacuating, Purging, testing, and scrapping of LPG cylinders
Testing cylinder filling scales for tolerances
Purging and evacuating LPG plant and equipment
Assist in installation/removal of LPG bulk tanks and cylinders
Testing of alarms, ESD system and other associated safety equipment
Regularly inspect plant and equipment to ensure it is operating safely and correctly
Inspection and maintenance of LPG fittings and connections and reporting any faults
Inspection and maintenance of LPG installations and reporting any faults
Maintenance of plant and equipment and in-house repairs
Carry out inspections and audits
Undertake, implement, and assist with risk assessments
Participate in relevant training courses and subsequent assessment
Work in conjunction with other company departments and contractors
Co-operate with safety audits and inspections carried out by management and other staff
Reporting of any accident, incident or near miss to the relevant company authority and assist with any subsequent investigation
Ensure work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and relevant approved codes of practice
Deputise for the Assistant LPG Officer in his absence
Undertake the Role of Site Controller
Issue Permits to work
The successful candidate will have the following:
You will hold or be capable of obtaining relevant driving licenses
Be required to undertake and pass HGVs driving license test and to maintain HGV driving license
Will be required to undertake and pass an ADR (Carriage of Dangerous Good Course)
Will be required to undertake and pass fork-lift driver training
You will hold or be capable of obtaining relevant driving licenses
Be required to undertake and pass HGVs driving license test and to maintain HGV driving license
Will be required to undertake and pass an ADR (Carriage of Dangerous Good Course)
Will be required to undertake and pass fork-lift driver training
