Plant Fitter - Jersey

Job Description:


Reporting to the LPG Officer, the Plant Fitter is responsible for ensuring that all planned operational and preventive maintenance tasks are carried out on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, are compliant with all relevant Company policies and procedures, local regulations and in line with UK best practice.


Plant Fitter Responsibilities:


  • Ensure uninterrupted gas supplies through safe operations at all times

  • Address and resolve any unplanned reactive maintenance or technical engineering issues

  • Carry out the safe operation, maintenance and installation of LPG plant and equipment

  • Commission and decommission pressure systems through safe operations

  • Undertake work-based risk assessments

  • Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with Company policies & procedures and relevant approved codes of practice

  • Participate in an emergency standby rota

  • Carry out LPG ship discharge operations

  • Carry out maintenance of mobile plant

  • On occasion the post holder will need to drive any vehicle on site to make deliveries to customers in peak periods or holiday cover.

  • The Role will Support the LPG officer in there absence holiday cover etc.
