Job Description
The opportunity:
To support our clients exciting growth and development, they are looking for a multi-skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join the team on-site at Spadeadam. Working at Spadeadam is no ordinary role. The nature of what the client does and the impact you can make is unique.
The daily duties will include the following:
Daily duties will differ from to day to day however, the overall maintenance and running of the on-site staff facilities will be your main focus
Basic handy works plus plumbing, electrical and mechanical works, carpentry etc as and when needed. Facilities will include meeting rooms, open plan areas, canteen, shower rooms etc.
Be proactive, self-motivated and work under pressure
Resolve issues quickly and effectively
Working in inclement conditions.
The successful candidate will have the following:

We do however hope that you will bring some of the following with you when you join:
HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Preferable experience in undertaking maintenance, fault diagnosis and rectification work such as basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical works for staff facilities
Demonstrable knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the initiative to plan and prioritise own workload and collaborating with others to manage conflicting deadlines
Being customer focused, proactive and results driven is key. You’ll possess real attention to detail and be adept in working with tight response times and ensuring enquiries and issues are dealt with in a timely manner
Please note that due to the nature of our Spadeadam site, successful applicants will be required to possess a full UK Driving Licence and to obtain and maintain UK SC Clearance (application for clearance will be assisted by the client).
