LPG Operations Lead

The LPG Manager will have overall responsibility for the LPG Operations department, ensuring all product is imported, handled, and delivered to customers in a safe, secure, and efficient way. They will have responsibility for assuring all work activities carried out on-site are controlled through the safety management system framework, recording, communicating, and continuously improving our operational performance.
The daily duties will include:
Principal Site Controller for Upper-Tier COMAH Site (LPG Storage)
Ensure the safety of all personnel on-site through the deployment of the Safety Management System
Deliver weekly, monthly, and annual operational plans to ensure all internal and external customer service levels are met and where possible exceeded.
Continuously manage a robust logistical plan to assure movement of product into and off site
Responsibility for LPG Operations training plan that ensures adequate department competency, training, and succession planning.
Key liaison contact for external stakeholders including HSE Regulatory Body
Oversee all Operational Procedures and Processes that affect LPG Operations
Ensure clear and constructive liaison with the Engineering Officer on all matters of Inspection, Maintenance, and Repairs relating to fixed assets.
Delivery of operational plans in line with agreed operational budget.
Collaborate with and support other areas of the business to achieve their objectives.
Provide the required technical support for operational activities as scheduled in the CMMS, and where required within other areas of the business.
Prepare and submit agreed reports on performance to the Head of Network Operations & Asset Management
Continually improve the operational performance of all staff and processes in the LPG Operations Department
Challenge inefficiencies and inaccuracies and provide solutions in line with IEG
The successful candidate will have the following:
10 years + Technical and Operational Management experience in the LPG /Oil/ Gas Industry
Membership of relevant professional institute certified by the Engineering Council (IMechE/IChemE/Energy/IGEM)
Obtained or working towards a professional Health and Safety qualification – NEBOSH/IOSH/PS
Working knowledge of Process Safety
Experience of supervising and motivating a team
Ability to demonstrate effective budget control.
Previous experience of writing and reviewing procedures.
Ability to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the quality required.
Ability to assess and implement new technical/admin innovations that will support improved performance and productivity.
Use of IT and other relevant software.
Ability to provide high quality, responsive, efficient customer service and deal with customers’ enquiries professionally and to a high standard or re-direct more complex issues
