Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintaining electrical installations & equipment
Maintenance of control and instrumentation systems
Testing of alarms and safety systems
Fault finding on electrical systems
Testing of Portable Appliances
Installation of light industrial wiring systems
Undertaking work-based risk assessments
Ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with Company policies & procedures and relevant approved codes of practice
Basic involvement and support with mechanical activities
Participating in an emergency standby Rota.
Carrying out LPG ship discharge operations
Carrying out maintenance of mobile plant
Maintenance of CHP engines
The successful candidate will have the following:
A minimum of City & Guilds qualified to Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent)
To be COMPEX qualification or be committed to qualify to achieve it
Basic knowledge of systems covering standby generators, PLC controls & instrumentation, AC & DC wiring systems, 3 phase pumps and compressors
The ability to undertake training and assessments as required to provide or confirm competence for the range of tasked activities
Have experience in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Hold a Full and Valid Driving Licence
Reliability, quality of data reported and adherence to safety and procedures as directed
Working knowledge of IT systems such as e-mail
Have a right to work in the UK and/or Jersey
