Duties and Responsibilities:
Be a part of our Extended Leadership Team (ELT) for Guernsey.
You will be Included in the Duty Manager rota for Guernsey.
Main Site Controller and (joint) risk owner for our Upper-Tier COMAH establishment (LPG Storage)
Building a collaborative relationship with the Head of Asset Management and other areas of the business to ensure the assets in Guernsey perform their required function effectively and efficiently whilst protecting health, safety, and the environment
Ensure that our assets are operated safely and deliver a continuous supply of product to our customers.
Preparation of procedures, plans, presentations and informative materials for operation and maintenance of the gas network and assets.
Delivery of all planned preventative and corrective maintenance required for the assets in accordance with schedule, ALARP and cost requirements.
Assuring all operational work activities carried out on-site (COMAH, MAH, Public Highway or Private) are controlled through continuously improved Risk Assessments, Operating Procedures and Safe Work Practices.
Responsibility for ensuring that communications and information issued by the business is shared to all levels within the asset operational teams, so all employees feel aware and included in the future direction of the business.
Ensure that a robust logistical plan is in place and working effectively (by overseeing the LPG Site Controller) to assure product and service levels (and movement of products into and off site) are maintained.
Ensure clear and constructive liaison with all operational teams on all matters of Operation, Monitoring, Inspection, Maintenance, and Repairs.
Responsible for ensuring the quality and control of the operational information loaded into and stored within the CMMS, and delivery of operational activities as scheduled in the CMMS.
Ensuring all activities on the gas distribution assets are carried out with the objection of maximising service provision and minimising costs, incidents, and disruption to customers.
Ensuring that the performance of the asset operational teams is recorded, communicated, and continuously improved in line with the companies North Stars.
Other such duties and reasonable instructions as directed by Senior Management/Directors.
The successful candidate will have the following:
Have 10 years + Technical and/or Operational experience in a relevant engineering sector
Obtained or working towards a professional Health and Safety qualification – NEBOSH/IOSH/PS
At least 5 years proven experience in leading operational teams
Knowledge of Process Safety (CCPS/EI or equivalent)
Experience of Supervising and motivating a team
Demonstrate effective budget control
Held membership of relevant professional institute certified by the Engineering Council (IMechE/IChemE/Energy/IGEM)
