The ideal applicant will ideally have experience in a similar role, however as client relationships and customer service are paramount to this role, applicants with strong customer management experience such as business development or client management roles will be strongly considered. Full training and guidance will be given for estimating and outline design activities.
Our client is looking for an Estimator to start asap. Ideally the client would like someone to start on a permanent basis but is willing to look at offering a contract to the successful candidate if preferable.
The location of work will ideally be office based in Bridgend, South Wales however, the client will consider remote working for candidates with the correct knowledge and experience.
The role will require the successful candidate to work 40 hours per week however, the client is happy to consider part time, or a job share if necessary.
The daily duties will include:
Reports to: Sales & Design Manager
Compile utility tender quotations for gas, water, electric, street lighting, fibre and vehicle charging for new domestic and Industrial/Commercial developments.
Produce gas, water and electric outline designs to the DNO/IDNO standards for the purpose of producing tender quotations (full training will be given for this activity)
Manage and nurture client relationships in keeping with the CMU Infrastructure Ltd thos
Liaise with clients, relevant industry professionals and other departments to produce industry leading and value engineered tender designs and submissions
Manage client expectations and close out contract awards
Negotiate with asset owners
Organise and attend pre and post contract client meetings when required
The role holder will carry out and manage all pre-contract activities for their allocated client base including providing support and guidance when required.
