What is your job title and function?

 

As a consultant for Wilcocks I carry out audits on Metering installation works to ensure compliance with current standards, processes and procedures whilst ensuring that we are giving the customer what they contractually require.

How would you describe your relationship with Wilcocks?

 

I like to think that we have a strong and close working relationship.

What do you attribute to your success within your job?

 

Being able to react quickly to our customer’s needs, as well as seamlessly delivering what the customer wants.

​

What is your biggest work related achievement?

 

Designing and supervising the upgrading of a number of 1.5 million Kws boilers and heating installations for sheltered accommodation within Leicestershire using traditional and solar heating systems.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

 

Still having overall control of the company but at a distance - hopefully on the banks of a salmon river in Scotland.

What advice would you bestow upon a young engineer starting their career?

 

Have a goal! Stay focused on it and overcome the setbacks that will occur on your way to that goal.

What is one interesting fact about you (not work related)?

 

I fished with Mick Hucknall from the band Simply Red and worked with the late Joe Cocker.

How do you like to relax in your spare time?

 

Anywhere outdoors shooting, fishing or walking.
