The Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB)

The company also provides training courses which are designed to assist companies with the technical development of their employees. Courses include: Transmission Engineering, Incident Management and Pipeline Damage Procedures, Plastic Pipe Engineering and Gas Utilisation.

 The Utilities Vendor Database is the supplier database used by the UK utility industry to source current and potential suppliers of products, services and works.  The UVDB has been in operation since 1995 and is now used by over fifty utilities, covering electricity (including nuclear), water, gas and telecom sectors.  The aim of the UVDB service is simple - to provide a single focus point for the collection and sharing of supplier pre-qualification information, reducing costs, time and administrative workload whilst increasing opportunities to both suppliers and utilities.
