Site Audits

Wilcock Consultants are GIRS (Gas Industry Registration Scheme) Auditors and have held our registration over the last 9 Years carrying out in that period over 8,000 site audits. We have auditors placed at various geographical locations throughout the UK and are able to cover all areas using our locally based auditors.

The audits use the iAudit electronic hand held devices and the audits details are available immediately following site entry. Any problems are directed to the supervisor or managers email system immediately. The system also incorporates a developer defect section and written notices of defects are handed to the developer at the time of the audit and followed by a letter from the audit coordinator located at the Barrow-in-Furness head office.

The system is very flexible and can be adapted to all aspects of Gas activities. The process can be adapted to be used by other utilities.

Supporting GIRS registration

Wilcock Consultants support a number of UIP Utility Infrastructure Providers by providing Technical Engineers to assist in the maintenance of the Utility Providers GIRS Registration and also assist in the application for GIRS registration. We continue to support the UIP’s by carrying out audits and personnel competency reviews.

Gas Distribution Design & Feasibility Studies, for LP, MP & IP systems

Over the last decade Wilcock Consultants have been providing design/feasibility studies for some of the major players in the industry at some of most challenging sites in the UK City Centre reinforcements including Central London. Gas supplies to properties with 65 floors and the most complicated gas supply routes to upgrade of palatial flats in Mayfair.

IGE/TD/1 Reaffirmation Reports

Wilcock Consultants have been producing IGE/TD/1 reports as per National Grid maintenance standard T/PM/MAINT/5 for National Grid for over 10 years and are considered by our clients as the leaders in the field having developed processes and formats that are searching and accurate. It enables the subsequent follow up reports to flow through in a smooth and economic manner.
