CORGI
- The Council For Registered Gas Installers
Wilcock Consulting are outplacement,
recruitment and consultancy specialists servicing the gas industry by providing individuals with specific skills or by undertaking fixed scopes of work. The range of skills includes accounting, distribution, safety, marketing, transmission and utilisation. Wilcock Consulting operates internationally and has worked in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Egypt, Eire, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Norway, Pakistan, South Africa, Thailand, Ukraine, Uruguay, USA and Vietnam. The company also provides training courses which are designed to assist companies with the technical development of their employees. Courses include: Transmission Engineering, Incident Management and Pipeline Damage Procedures, Plastic Pipe Engineering and Gas
Utilisation.

CORGI maintains a computerised database listing all Registered Gas
Installers on mainland Britain. All
Gas Installers must successfully pass an assessment of competence by a
CORGI Inspector before an application is approved. Once registered, an
Installer is required to undergo regular inspections. CORGI
(the Council for Registered Gas Installers) is the National Watchdog
for Gas Safety in the United Kingdom. Their mission is to promote and
enhance gas safety, standards and quality in a professional and
ethical manner.
By enrolling on the CORGI
Register of Gas Installers Wilcock Consultants became a member of the Class of
Persons approved by the Health and Safety in accordance with the Gas Safety
(Installation and Use) Regulations and/or the Gas Safety (Installation and
Use) Regulations (Northern Ireland) and/or Gas Safety (Installation and Use)
Regulation as amended and applied by the Gas Safety Order of the Isle of
Man.
This means that CORGI accepts
that Wilcock Consultants is competent to carry out gas work as we have valid
certificates of competence covering the areas of gas work we
undertake.
