WCL Celebrates Audit Results

On 21st and 22nd September Wilcock underwent a Verify Category B2 Assessment. This stringent audit involves a detailed study of our Health and Safety, Environmental & Quality Management systems and procedures.  The auditor spent day 1 in the office and a site visit to Cleator Moor, Cumbria was held on day 2.

The audit, run by Achilles, is vital to the company as we are scored on each section and the results are displayed on the Achilles databases which our blue chip clients use as a basis for pre-qualification decisions. We also refer to our achievements in pre-qualifications and tender documents. A good score is essential for the company.

Diane Fowler, QHSE Manager, and Helen Colwill, Compliance Manager, spent many months preparing for the audit. The B2 questionnaire had increased to 45 pages this year and so there was a lot of material to present to the auditor in a short time frame.

The audit was very detailed and thorough and to our credit the awarded scores reflected the hard work and commitment that was made. Scores can be seen below.

These excellent results were all the more pleasing as we had been informed that many companies  scores had actually decreased due to the audit questionnaire being extended to 45 pages.
