We urgently require 3 Technical Authors from either a Mechanical, Electrical or Structural /Civils background.
The Technical Authors will work alongside a team of National Grid specialists to help develop documents.

The skills required are:

Gas Turbine Driven Natural Gas Compressor Mechanical

• Technical Author with a mechanical engineering background.
• Experience with Gas Turbine Driven Natural Gas Compressors including design, construction, commissioning and operations.
• Experience of writing procedures and specifications.

Electrical Driven Natural Gas Compressor Electrical

• Technical Author with a electrical engineering background.
• Experience in HV and Power Quality.
• Experience of working on HV equipment including design, construction, commissioning and operations.

• Experience of operating, construction or design of Variable Speed Electric (VSD) motors.

• Experience of VSD control systems.

• Experience of writing procedures and specifications.

Civil & Structural

• Technical Author with a civil and structural engineering background.

• Experience of Structure Eurocodes which have recently replaced the British Standards documents.

• Experience of writing procedures and specifications.

Candidates that do not meet all the criteria will be considered provided they meet the majority of the requirements.
