Project Engineer

Details:

Project Engineer required in Dartford and Ipswich.

Duties will include:

  • Coordinating activities between Land and Development and Major Projects/Delivery Units and producing /managing programme of system design activities to meet timescales for project delivery, in particular consents.
  • Representing Major Infrastructure Development Team at appropriate meetings, including Major Projects Steering Board, project meetings, consultation events, consents meetings.
  • Programming and coordinating System Development input to critical consents milestones e.g. ES. Ensuring submissions are timely, accurate, fit for purpose and of a consistent standard.
  • Ensuring all system development documentation for the IPC submission is available, catalogued, of adequate quality, (including optioneering), where appropriate manage contractors providing subsidiary documentation and ensure standard is appropriate.
  • Responsible for production of Need section of Environmental Statement, including management of drafts and individual author’s contributions.


Requirements:
  • Experience of Programme management on major projects.
  • Experience of working with external stakeholders, incl government, regulators, planning authorities.
  • Experience of producing documentation to a very high standard / legal quality.
  • Able to produce work to a high standard and under pressure.
  • Chartered Engineer or qualifications leading to Chartered Status.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the HV power system.
  • Strong experience in the management of major projects within a commercial project management framework.

 

Salary:  £40.00 per hour Ltd Co basis
