We currently require an Electrical Technician to undertake routine electrical maintenance and also be capable of undertaking basic instrumentation maintenance under the guidance of the current instrument technician. The maintenance requirements will be routine inspections, overhauls and examinations.

There will also be defects that are of varying priorities - this will necessitate an element of flexibility in work ethic. Primary maintenance obligations relate to Bacton Terminal and the surrounding pipeline /AGI sites. From time to time, there will be a need for the successful candidate to work on other compressor sites within East Anglia, and also on Pipeline /AGI sites further afield. Standby requirements maybe required once suitable training and experience has been undertaken.

The ideal candidate will have Industrial Electrical Maintenance experience, preferably within the upstream Oil & Gas sector. They will also have proven experience undertaking corrective maintenance under break down situations. Experience of low voltage electrical maintenance and Hazardous area equipment is essential. An understanding of appropriate Company /Industry standards and instructions would be an advantage, also candidate who have been assessed as competent against STC framework, with detailed understanding of Safe Control of Operations documentation.

Educated to a minimum of ONC or equivalent preferred, however relevant experience will be considered.

Must have core knowledge of Industrial Electrical equipment and principles including:

1. Knowledge of AC and DC motors, associated drive packages and switchgear.
2. Knowledge of industrial lighting and heating systems.
3. Good understanding of concepts and practice in hazardous areas and related equipment.
